I would like to introduce the idea that hit me like lightning earlier this week and has now materialized into reality and I am so excited to share it! HomeWerk is a live, online, and at-home retreat that will take place on April 18 and 19, 9am-4pm PST. I have gathered some of my favourite teachers to share their expertise with you in a retreat-style format. We will explore concepts and styles such as our role as individuals in the collective, Qi gong practice, Yoga classes an...d therapy, TCM techniques, EFT, journaling, massage, spiritual guidance, natural movement, and resilience training. Did I mention this is all "donate what you can"? All proceeds will go to organizations that are extremely necessary during this time such as the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. All these teachers are donating their time and expertise and everyone is welcome to join! If you can't donate at this time, I still want to see your beautiful face, because we are in this together! Let's explore the Me and We in HomeWerk. Let's gain skills and insights to benefit ourselves as individuals so we can further uplift each other. Join me on April 18, 19. To help quiet thoughts to fall asleep or to calm down in moments of anxiety, try this combo of acupuncture/acupressure points. Place the middle finger of one hand on the point between your eyebrows called, Yin Tang. Place the middle finger of the other hand on the point, Heart-7. To find this point draw a line down from your pinky finger to the wrist. The point is just under the bump of the hand on the wrist crease and just inside (medial) to the tendon on the wrist closes...t to the pinky side. If you're trying to falling asleep this configuration can be comfortably done lying on your side. Hold your fingers here and take slow breaths in and out. A pretty big topic in my life and the lives of some of my loved ones: is how can I be apart of this fast-paced, technological world where people can demand your attention at every second, while still staying true to my own needs? . Some of you will deeply resonate with this, and some of you won't, and that's beautiful, we have differences in our energy requirements. . If you understand this push and pull of wanting to give, but then giving too much. If you've felt overwhelmed... with the amount of emails, texts, and calls on a daily basis. If you feel like you need to sacrifice your mental clarity to stop disappointing other's expectations: then I HEAR YOU. You are not weird, and you are enough. . We straight up live in a weird time, where messages travel around the world in a second. It's ok to feel overwhelmed. . I'm also trying to navigate how to be my best self in this world, so I have no answers, only absolute compassion and support for other introvert, empathic, sensitive souls who would enjoy a bit more quiet. . . I always ask my patients what brings them joy. Like genuine, doing it for no other reason than I love it, joy. Joy is necessary, it nourishes our "essence" and life force, it motivates, it destroys stress, it promotes healthy transformation, and it's just fun. .
