Happy new year from TTR. A year that started with so much promise, fizzled out so badly. Thank you to everyone who has supported Harrison and his journey. Honestly the banter, the tears, the shouting and the genuine friendship we have shared this year with you all has been amazing. Harrison won a race, a B final, so nothing amazing, but that was the first ever time the lad had crossed the finish line first. So that's a good memory. We set a fastest lap in a Motorsport UK h...eat. That was new too. Harrison did himself proud with his on and off track behaviour and Mum n Dad are still together...just. Now gambled the house on Minimax and a young tall chap helping us have a better year in 2021 racing wise. Be safe all, thank you so much. I so hope we can see some of you next year. Brilliant days testing with the AIRKart. Lots of good quality seat time in very challenging conditions. Found a lot of time over the day, ended up on slicks on a very greasy track, learning so much about kart control. Huge thanks to Alex as always, plus teammate Spencer and his Dad Jamie. Big thanks to Ronnie, number 77s team for the jets too. Harrison really enjoyed the day, despite a few spins, finding the limits and where he needs to work much harder.

So today TTR went to Shenington to support all our good mates at the IKR. A championship we have run in over 3 years and made so many lasting memories. It was wonderful to see the championship so strong, and to see so many new drivers doing so well. It was also fitting as today both of our Cadet chassis have been sold. Our journey on cadets is at an end. We at TTR want to just say a huge thank you to everyone we have raced in Honda Cadets. Thank you for helping us create so... many amazing memories. What a total blast our Cadet years have been. Thanks to Lockdown, we finish our season early, but proud. Proud to have been a fiercely independent team all year, and finished in the top 10 in both Whilton and Shenington. We move up to Minimax excited and full of optimism. Harrison is going stir crazy not being out in his kart. Gutted no testing tomorrow at Shenington Kart Racing Club - SKRC" . So hope Wednesday at Whilton goes ahead. Hope we can get some more quality seat time in the AIRkart / AIR Motorsport AIRKART with Alex. Never known Harrison to be so down.

Thank you all for your Support in 2020! Not the year we had planned and an early end to our adventure in Cadets. However we learned a lot, and we go into 2021 full of optimism. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas and look forward to sharing our ups and downs with you all in 2021!

Really great day at Whilton Mill Kart Club. Out testing again with AIRkart / AIR Motorsport. Such a fantastic kart for Harrison, he is loving every minute of it. Run our new engine in, and had our first taste of proper wet running. Lots and lots learnt today from Alex. Cannot wait to get out again. Thank you to BRT for my new engine, started first time and was feeling really strong. So much hard work ahead, but already Minimax is feeling like our new home.

Whilton Mill Rd 5. Decent warm up, so H felt confident in the cooler conditions for heat 1. Started 4th. Got up to 2nd, but could not get past the leader to break away. Ended up 5th after penalties. Next heat started 18th, sadly got a nose cone very early on, so after pens, we got a 19th place result. Last heat, mix up on grid and our start of 12th place was in fact 17th! Get a good start, then hit off at the top corner on the first lap. So ended up at the back. Que the TTR... fightback music again as H went from last to 13th on track. Sadly we got track limits 5 sec penalty, so dropped to 15th. Final we started 15th. Nailed the start and got involved in a race long battle with our good mate Charlie, finished 13th, just behind Charlie. Not a great day, but honestly Harrison was driving so well towards the end of the day. Tough fighting the teams at times, however we left the track with our heads held high. See more

Lady luck and a whole host of things maybe against TTR as we head in to our A final. But we are still laughing having fun and determined. You can keep hitting us, but you ain't knocking us down. We come back smarter, stronger and faster each and every time.

Okay practice at Whilton. Split grids and everyone wanted to be evens, so quiet sessions. Struggled all day with set up, but we got something off a plan towards the end of the day. Last session was fun, wet and H was supposed to be scrubbing in new slicks. So lot of tricky driving, but got through it. Hopefully we can push on tomorrow.

Shenington Round 6. So so practice, hit in the rear and lost a bumper mount, so had to swap from the plastic one to the metal one. Timmed practice saw Harrison fighting huge understeer as we struggled to get the kart working well.... Heat 1 started 8th, H struggling initially with the same lack of front end fell back. Recovered of sorts to finish 10th. Heat 2 started 11th, kart was a bit better and H finished 9th. Heat 3 started 17th, finished 13th..fastest lap, but a very messy heat. So we had by now dialled out the understeer and H was confident to move forward. Start the final 10th, get a good start, go between 2 slower start karts into the first corner, only for a 4th kart to try and make room where there was none. Result, Harrison turned round and spun off. Get back on track dead last and a way off even the next kart. Harrison got his head down and as normal for us. He fought back, fighting some stupid crazy blocking driving by karts some 2 secs of our pace, eventually finishing 15th out of 29. Despite spending every lap passing karts, we still set lap times good enough for the top 6. So yet again a case of what might have been. 2 more rounds in this championship to try and get some kind of a result. There is no doubting the pace now, but no matter what we do, it appears that lady luck has our card well and truly marked.

TTR are looking forward to Shenington this weekend. Just really to see some good mates and hopefully enjoy a bit of fun racing. We know our time in the Honda class is coming to an end, so looking forward to trying to finish our time as a cadet on a high. See you all at the weekend.

Fantastic first ever test in an AIRkart / AIR Motorsport Rotax Minimax. Wonderful day at a very busy but well run Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities. Started with Harrison missing a braking point and taking out some of the fencing! Trip to the medical centre, all clear and out we went again. Harrison had started to find his groove by session 3 and set his best times of the day in session 4. By session 5, the step up in grip and performance had started to take its toil and H was suffering so after a few more laps, the team called it a day. Lots learnt, a lot to work on, especially strength in upper body etc. Amazing partnership between Alex and Harrison too. Brilliant to work with Spencer too. A lot still to do in Hondas for the rest of 2020, but TTR will be Minimax in 2021.

Massive thanks to AIRkart / AIR Motorsport for the opportunity to test a Minimax Kart tomorrow. Harrison has not been this excited for a long time. Once step closer to our next step forward in Karting. Could be the start of a great partnership between AIR Motorsport and TTR.

TTR went Back to Shenington IKR one last time at the weekend. A fun test day turning in to a race weekend. Sadly while the pace was there, a coming together with a backmarker 200 in the 2nd Heat and some other bad luck saw TTR finish 5th overall. What was really uplifting and meant a huge amount was the reaction of Harrison's fellow racers. The positive messages on the grid as we lined up to start Heat 3 at the back were great and talking to Harrison, really inspired him. Dri...ving back from 18 to 5th in 8 laps was not easy, but he did it and he did it cleanly. Even after the messages on Social media from others really helped. Thank you all Perhaps this nice streak will limit our racing potential? I don't mind, as our race driver teaches both his mum and dad a lot at times about staying grounded and humble. We are truly grateful to have the opportunity to race most weekends, and If we can keep helping others, keep racing and having fun, I reckon we are doing enough winning too.

Thank you to Whilton Mill Kart Club and Stu Stretton for helping create some amazing memories from a great Round 4. Race day was just Dad and Lad. Practice, Dad had put the pressures too high, so rather than cook our race rubber Harrison did a few gentle laps, one decent one, and then came in. Which was good thinking by the driver. Heat 1, starting 3rd, Harrison got up to 2nd, but then just struggled to stay in the train and fell back. Making some poor judgments out on track...Continue reading

Shattered, full report tomorrow. But. Heat 1, started 3rd finished 12th. Driver got telling off.... Heat 2 started 15th finished 8th. Driver finding mojo again Heat 3 started 21st finished 7th driver and mojo back together again. Final started 6th, finished 6th Driver happy, team happy. Overall a good day. Thank you guys.

Hope you are all ready for the weekend? We are going racing. Looking forward to getting back out on track and basically driving it like I stole it. No tactics or strategy, just flat out. I over thought it last weekend. Not doing that again.. lets have it. Big time.
