Our final prize winner announcement for Tour de Guelph 2020 is William Isaak! William raised $300 this year which qualified him for entry to win one of the top youth fundraiser prizes. William's name was drawn for the Organic Meadow prize of 48 single-serve milk boxes! William is also proudly sporting his new 2020 Tour de Guelph jersey which all participants received when they raised $300 or more as part of this year's ride.... Way to go William!

The seventh annual Love Your Bike festival takes place Saturday, Sept. 12 on the back patio of The Wooly Pub- Guelph's Meeting Place! This gentleman wins the prize for the most unique use of the back pockets on his Tour de Guelph Jersey!

Nicole Gatto has been riding and fundraising in Tour de Guelph since 2015. Nicole had her biggest year this year, raising $1315! Her grand total over the years is now close to $5,000! This year, Nicole was entered to win one of our Top Fundraiser prizes because she raised over $1000. Nicole won a $100 gift certificate from one of our sponsors, Paramount Skis-Bikes-Boards. She found lots of handy bike accessories to spend it on!

When Peggy Pritchard headed out at 6 a.m. for her first-ever 100km ride, the temperature was a cool 16 degrees C, with a comfortable breeze. Peggy surprised herself by covering the distance in 4.5 hours! Even with a few short breaks, she finished just after 11 a.m. Peggy raised over $1,000 this year and was entered to win one of the top fundraiser prizes. Her name was drawn for a prize that was generously donated by Organic Meadow, $100 in free product vouchers. Thank you Peggy for your support this year, and thank you Organic Meadow for helping us reward our top fundraisers!

For the past three years, Ethan Steele has won the top youth fundraiser prize bike and has donated it every time to a child in need. His grand fundraising total over all four years that he has ridden and raised is over $5,000. This is his last year in the youth category, with it being his best year yet, raising over $2,000 and with plans to donate his prize bike once again! Thank you Ethan and thank you Vettor Small Engine & Bicycle.

This year, the winners of the top fundraiser prizes were selected by random draw. Those that raised $1,000 or more were entered into the draw. Congratulations to Donna Bryson who won the Spa Day for Your Bike, a $500 value from Speed River Bicycle.

This year Harvey’s awarded all Tour de Guelph participants with a coupon for a Free combo including burger, fries or rings, and a drink. As if that wasn’t already super generous, Harvey's Restaurants of Guelph donated over 200 of the excess coupons directly to one of the Tour de Guelph 2020 beneficiaries, Food4Kids Guelph, to distribute to all the children enrolled in their program. Thank you Harvey’s Restaurants of Guelph for your generosity!

The news is out! $105,000 net proceeds raised in Tour de Guelph 2020! We're so incredibly grateful for all who participated this year, as a rider, walker, volunteer or sponsor! In addition to supporting Guelph General Hospital, proceeds will also help support other local charities through the Rotary Clubs of Guelph South and Guelph Trillium, including Lakeside HOPE House, Food4Kids Guelph, and Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington. Proceeds will also support the annual Volunteer Brunch, an initiative of Rotary Club of Guelph South.

We're in the home-stretch of Tour de Guelph 2020. Riders still have until the end of the day on Sunday, July 26th to fundraise. All donations received or reported to us by end of day Sunday, July 26th will help you qualify for milestone and top fundraiser prizes. This year, all riders will receive a reward when they reach each of the following fundraising milestones: $300, $500 and $1000! Raise $300 or more for a free Tour de Guelph cycling jersey. Raise $500 or more, and yo...u will also receive a Tour de Guelph sweat towel. Raise $1000 or more, and you will also receive a Tour de Guelph cycling jacket! In addition, all those who meet the minimum $25 fundraising requirement, will receive a coupon for a free combo from Harvey's that includes a burger, fries or onion rings, and a drink.
