When you head out on the water this year, keep an eye out for human-powered vessels, swimmers, and property that could be impacted by your boat and its wake.

Some times you need a Towing or Salvage company. Remember that when in trouble on the Great Lakes always call Coast Guard on VHF channel 16 or dial * 16 on your cellphone. If your problem has been passed on to the Coast Gaurd they will brodcast on VHF 16 so every boater in your area will know.... C-TOW Marine Assistance has been here in Ontario for years . We do not claim to be the only answer however we very likely will be part of the solution . We offer a Great Membership for Boaters. But if you happen not to have our Membership we are able to assist on a Great Rate.

Even if the weather is sunny, it can be deceiving when it comes to the temperature of the water. If you're stretching the season, make sure you know the risks and dangers of cold water.

MAN DIES IN DIVING ACCIDENT (Clay Township) A 50 year old Farmington Hills man is dead following a diving accident yesterday in Little Muscamoot Bay in Clay To...wnship. Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriffs Office Marine Division were called to the bay at about 5:45 Sunday afternoon. Through investigation, it was determined the man was out on a boat with friends. Prior to leaving, the man wanted to dive into the water. He dove off the boat from about six feet in the air into about 3 feet of water. He misjudged the dive angle and appears to have directly struck the river bed, causing fatal injuries. He was removed from the water by friends and CPR was started immediately. He was then transported by Tri-Hospital EMS to Ascension River District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Clay Township Police, Clay Township Fire and Rescue and the Macomb County Sheriff Marine Division also assisted at the scene of the accident, which remains under investigation.

There's no need to rush off of the water, even with Labour Day in the rearview. Autumn boating is some of the best boating out there, and with C-Tow operating through the entire season you can go ahead and enjoy fall knowing we have your back.

Kingsville Fire had and extremely busy Labour Day responding to a capsized vessel and a house fire. Our personnel rescued 3 individuals from a capsized vessel ...early Monday morning September 7th, 2020. Our Water/Ice Rescue team deployed from the Kingsville Dock putting our training into practice and braving the elements. Two firefighters attempted a rescue from our marine unit, while one member swam to pull one victim to shore. Our marine unit was capsized by the wind and a rogue wave. Thrown from the boat, banged up from waves and rocks both safely navigated back to shore on our overturned vessel. We are extremely proud to serve with this team and the brave individuals who entered the water. Thank you also to the Canadian Coast Guard, Coast Guard Air Station Detroit, C-Tow, O.P.P., Essex-Windsor EMS, Lasalle Police Dispatch and Leamington Fire. See more
