Update on the boil order advisory. The engineer was in town this weekend working on the Chlorination System and unfortunately, he was not able to repair the system. He had discovered that the Power Supply Unit must be replaced. This unit will have to be ordered and it is most likely be in the new year before the work is completed. In the meantime, the boil order will have to remain in place. The town apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused to residents.

The landfill site will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The site will re-open at 8:00 am on Tuesday December 29th , 2020. I received a call from Kim Hodder from the YMCA. Kim is looking to see how many residents in the community need a Christmas Hamper. Kim can be contacted at 567-0047 or by email at [email protected]. Please provide her with the number of people living in your home and how many children are in the home. Hamper pick-up dates are December 16th and December 18th if you are unable to pick up a hamper the YMCA can deliver. There is only a limited Supply of hamper available. So, if you are in need please contact Kim ASAP. This is a great gesture for the YMCA and I am sure a lot residents will appreciate it.

ADVISORY On Saturday, November 14th, 2020 the Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board will have dumpsters located at the Rec Centre on Ball Field Road in St. Bernard’s for residents in the region to drop off Bulk garbage. Time: 10am - 2pm ... Thank You
