Congrats to Matthew Raymond Town of Digby's Director of Finance Matt has been with the Town for 15 years and last evening at the Committee of the Whole Meeting Matt received this plaque from Mayor Cleveland.
Cardboard....boxboard - what's the difference and where does it go Cardboard is usually heavy duty and have wavy pieces in the middle, these are usually larg...er in size. Examples include shipping boxes, produce boxes, Boxboard is usually thin and usually smaller in size. Examples include tissue boxes, cereal and cracker boxes, product packaging Now, where does it all go? All of it can be recycled but must be clean and dry! If it's wet or soiled with food (example - pizza box) it should go in with your compost in the green cart. Boxboard is smaller so it can go in your blue bag with your other paper products. Cardboard, especially the large boxes need to be flattened, tied together in manageable bundles to put to the curb for pick up on your recycling day. Please make sure it's bagged or bundled, this material is lightweight and will blow around creating litter. The holidays is a good time to make crafts for yourself or to give as gifts. Why not look at items we would normally throw away for our next craft project?... Online is a good place to look for inspiration. Show us your project or post your favorite website for those "reuse" crafts.
