~ Enforcement News~ New Impaired Driving Law In Effect! Report drunk drivers by calling 911!
On November 27th, 2020 the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General enhanced the powers of over 700 Peace Officers across this Province to enforce public health orders. Effective immediately, Slave Lake Peace Officers will be deployed to respond to complaints where persons are actively breaching the public health orders and this will be through means of public complaints only. Peace Officers will not be out actively looking for such violations due to its limited resources however if they come across situations that require intervention than enforcement action may be taken. If you wish to file a complaint, please do so by calling 780-849-8014. Disregard for these public orders are NOT emergencies, therefor we ask you do not call 911!
