Terrington Co-op update Sat. Feb 13 2021 As we return to Alert Level 5, we are implementing new measures at our store to ensure the safety of our customers and ...staff. Effective this morning, we are limiting customers in our store to 50 at any time! We have staff monitoring this. As well we have added a staff member to clean all carts as they are returned. This is in addition to our staff who are returning the carts. There will be no scratch and break-open ticket sales. Our delivery service is still open and available by calling the office at 896-5737. Please reduce your family shoppers to a single person if possible. Only one shopper at a time! Please continue to watch for updates that will be made as necessary. As we in a dynamic situation please be assured that the Board and management teams are working hard to ensure the safety of all! Be reminded that this only affects our province and has no impact on our product deliveries, so there are currently no challenges to our delivery chain! Most importantly, please be patient and respectful to our staff as they continue to do an amazing job by going beyond for us! Stay safe and please share this post! George Andrews President

Public Service Announcement "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" Information for the Public Release Date: December 8, 2020... The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Community Services & Recreation is pleased to announce the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus, is coming to town after all. Santa's goal is to drive through as many streets as possible on Saturday, December 12, starting at 1:00 PM. His route will begin in the Lower Valley area, then on to the Upper Valley area, then on to the Hamilton Heights (MOT) area, and lastly, on to the Spruce Park / Canadian Side areas. Due to his hectic schedule, Santa expects to finish up around 3:00 PM. Old Saint Nick recommends that everyone who wishes to watch and wave at him in his festive ride do so from the safety of their driveway. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, he will not be handing out treats. Of course, he also recommends that everyone practice physical distancing and remains in their "holiday Bubble." The decision to cancel the 2020 Santa Claus Parade was a difficult one to make; however, the 12th Council, Management, and staff of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will always put residents' health and safety first in any decision. Registration for 2020 Floats was down significantly from past years, and it is the view of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay that this was due to concerns over the COVID-19 Pandemic. In consultation with officials at Labrador Grenfell Health and guidance released by the Provincial Chief Medical Officer of Health's office, the 12th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Management, and Staff will continue to monitor updates relating to the Pandemic and update residents regularly.
