COVID-19 VACCINE - 80 YEARS & OLDER As announced this afternoon, beginning Thursday, February 4th, anyone 80 years and older can make an appointment to receive a Covid-19 vaccination. O'Leary vaccine clinic appointments will begin on Monday, February 22. If you are 80 and over, or know someone in that age range that wants to receive the vaccine, call 1-844-975-3303 between 8:00am-4:00pm to schedule an appointment!

As announced this morning...... masks are now mandatory for indoor public spaces effective Thursday, November 19. You will not be permitted to enter the O'Leary Town Complex without wearing a mask. Some classes and meetings you will be permitted to remove your mask when seated. Please check with the Library beginning Thursday for mask policy while in Library as details are still being developed. Thank you for your cooperation!

TOWN OF O'LEARY PUBLIC MEETING OFFICIAL PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT BYLAW AMENDMENTS - COMMUNITY CARE FACILITY Pursuant to section 19 of the Town of O'Leary Zoning and Subdivision Control (Development) Bylaw and section 18 of the Planning Act, Town Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 7 pm at the O'Leary Town Complex, 18 Community St., O'Leary.... The meeting is open to the public and the public is invited to provide comments on the proposed amendments. In order to meet social distancing and related public health requirements, those planning on attending must register in advance, by calling 902-859-3311, on or before 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Santa Claus is coming to O'Leary! After a successful return of the Christmas Parade in 2019 after more than a decade without, we are bringing back our parade ag...ain this year. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and to ensure everyone who wants to see the parade can, we are doing the reverse format this year and introducing the Half-Mile Christmas Parade from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Saturday, Nov 28 at Willis Memorial Racetrack on Gaspe Road! Floats will be parked along the outside of the track and cars will drive around to see the floats. Santa has confirmed his attendance and is anxiously waiting. We are in the process of making calls to get floats entered. Anyone looking to enter a float can contact Andrew at [email protected] or 902-859-1464. Generators are encouraged as it will be dark. And remember that Santa is already coming, so leave the red suit at home if you already have a beard and jolly belly so he stands out. Deadline to enter a float is Nov 20.
