The Pictou County Pop Christmas was a great success, with 3 sold out shows. We are happy to announce that from Christmas Eve (24th) until New Years's Eve (31st)... you can livestream a full version of the show. Tickets are $20. If you need assistance in voting, there will be a kiosk in the Town of Pictou at Stella Maris Hall today, Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 8 a.m. to 7p.m. The kiosk is to be used only for people needing assistance. If you have your voter’s letter, please bring it with you.... Voting will only take a minute, use your voter information letter that you received in the mail......look for the internet address or telephone number and follow the instructions. If you need help with any part of the voting process, call the Elections Help Desk at 1-833-901-1990. Polls will close Saturday at 7 p.m. for voting. Here are several ways you can still cast your vote via the internet, telephone, or in-person at a kiosk. If you need assistance don't hesitate to contact the Elections Help Desk at 1-833-901-1990 or visit a kiosk listed in your voter information letter for in-person assistance. Kiosks will be open in each municipality from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Make sure you take your voter information letter with you to the kiosk beca...use you will need your pin number to cast your vote. The results of the election will be posted on the electionspictoucounty.ca website after polls close.

A new comprehensive guide to Pictou County is now available online with a limited run of print copies throughout the community. This was made possible through a collaborative project by Healthy Pictou County in partnership with partnered the Pictou County Chamber of Commerce, Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores (DEANS), and the Pictou County Regional Enterprise Network. The notion stemmed from the work of Healthy Pictou County, a physician-led effort to attract and retain health care providers and students to the area.

I encourage those who have not yet voted to do so. This is your opportunity to determine who will be given the responsibility of making the important decisions affecting our community for the next four years....
