Did you know that dogs who are registered and have current licenses with the Town are automatically members of the exclusive Raymond K9 Club? They say that membership has its privileges and that is certainly true for those k9's whose owners are especially sophisticated. You and your k9 will enjoy these membership perks each and every year that they remain members: 1. Improved likelihood of getting your dog back if it goes missing. ... 2. One free ride home per year if your dog decides to take itself on a walk without you. If it does not have a current license, you will have to pay the impoundment fees, fines, and license fees before your dog will be released back into your care. 3. Your dog goes on the emergency pet registry so emergency responders know to look for your dog in the event of an emergency. In 2018, there were only 71 dogs registered in Raymond. By the end of 2020, that number had increased to 229. We would like to thank all of those who have taken the time to register their dogs with the Town. A notice will be sent out at the beginning of February reminding you to renew your license again for 2021 if you have not already done so. We do know that there are still some out there who are "harbouring" a fugitive or two, and we would encourage you to come in and register your k9(s) with the Town. Dog license fees have not changed since 2017. Dog License (Spayed or Neutered) $26 Dog License (Not Spayed or Neutered) $52 Vicious Dog License $100 Dog Fanciers License $55 Dog Tag Replacement $5 Impoundment Fine First Offence $100 Impoundment Fine Second Offence $200 Impoundment Fine Third Offence $400 Impoundment Fee per day $125

Congratulations to Raymond Dental for 20 years of excellent service to our community. Thank you for sponsoring another incredible firework show for the community on New Year’s Eve. For those who can watch home, please do so. For those of you who want to drive down, please stay in your vehicles to view the show. Also, please do not park on the opposite side of the road, as it completely, complicates traffic after the show is over and creates an unsafe environment.

The Town's Historical Resources Committee was privileged to host a bus tour of Southern Alberta that was organized by the Nikkei National Museum in the fall of 2019. A documentary was created by Kenji Dyck and produced by David Iwaasa and the National Association of Japanese Canadians (NAJC) in partnership with the Nikkei National Museum. It is entitled, "Japanese Canadians and Alberta Sugar Beets." The Town of Raymond would like to thank the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre for their willingness to share this video on our platforms and for the contributions and legacy these families and their descendants have made in our community.
