GENERAL SNOW REMOVAL SCHEDULE Main arteries are opened first, not necessarily in this order: - Access area for ambulance service - Rose Villa entrance via Centennial Drive... - Fire Hall ramp - Main Street *following the completion of Main Street snow removal the AGT Centre, Civic Centre and the Elks Hall parking lots will be cleared, at the Superintendent’s discretion. - 9th Ave. - 6th St. - 6th Ave - residential areas Snow on Main St. is hauled first, followed by 1st, 2nd, 3rd Avenue east and west sides All other Town owned parking lots will be cleared after adjacent residential streets are cleared. The Town does not clear any parking lots for private businesses. The Town does not clear any residential sidewalks. Back lanes are cleared with the front-end loaders and the streets are cleaned by the graders. The front-end loaders are able to move snow quicker than the graders so lanes are often cleared before residential streets. Streets that are congested with parked vehicles are cleared when the majority of the parked vehicles have been moved. This alleviates the problem of the graders burying the vehicles as they grade the streets. Schedule subject to change due to weather and is at the Superintendent’s discretion. See more

Hello Residents, I hear there's a chance of snow today! SNOW REMOVAL: Did You Know ? If we get a snowfall overnight- our snow removal priority routes are the hospital and Main Street bright and early in the morning. Then while you're getting ready for work - we do the school route and pop over to the rink parking lot and other town parking lots so we don't start plowing streets and block your car in. ... After you're safe at work, we then take care of 9th Ave, 6th Ave and 6th Street because they are main roads that can get you out to the highways. Then, depending on where the worst of the snow accumulation is, we determine what streets will happen next ... until we're all done!

Attention Residents: Emterra will be in town on Friday, Dec. 11th to complete last week's residential recycling pick-up. If you were one of the locations missed last time, please leave your bin out on Friday for pick-up. Emterra will return to their regularly scheduled pick up net Thursday for the whole town.
