Toys for Tots 20.12.2020

Our volunteers made their delivery to the Stratford House of Blessing today! The Toys for Tots donation bins will be out in the Stratford Mall this weekend with our final donation being made to Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron on Monday. Any donations you can make this weekend will be very greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: In less than five days, the community came together and donated over 1200 toys! We are absolutely humbled by these figures which absolutely surpassed our expectations. It is with very full and happy hearts that we close our campaign this year. Thank you to each person that donated, shared, and contributed; you have each made a difference for a child in need. ---- We need your help, Stratford!... The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron and the Stratford House of Blessing have given us lists totalling 912 children in need this holiday season. At our last count, we have only 450 toys. We are so grateful for these donations, but that means that 450 children will only receive one toy this year, and 462 will go completely without. If you visit the Stratford Festival Marketplace Shopping Centre this weekend to do your last-minute shopping, please remember those 912 children. New unwrapped donations can be dropped off in the bins in the mall, and we are especially in dire need of donations for children 8+. Your donation can truly mean the difference between a child having a gift this year, or having nothing. Every donation, like, and share counts! Thank you.

Did you know: Toys for Tots is coordinated by local members of the Canadian Armed Forces? Therefore, as members of the 4th Battalion the Royal Canadian Regiment, many of our Stratford volunteers will be participating in the Stratford Remembrance Day parade and service on 11 November in memory of our Veterans. We are grateful to be a part of such a supportive community. For those able to attend, the service starts at 10:45 at the Stratford Cenotaph (30 York St). We invite you ...to join us in this moment of reflection. Thank you, and lest we forget.

The Multicultural Centre in Stratford supports many families in the area throughout the holiday season. Volunteers from the 4th Battalion the Royal Canadian Regiment were happy to help them celebrate with a delivery from Toys for Tots. Thank you, citizens of Stratford, for your generous donations that will bring so many smiles to children in our community this year!
