I cannot thank everyone enough for their patience and understanding over our booking for this week and next week. I think I have it sorted. It might be a bit of waiting here and there next week but that will be the end of the trouble! You people are amazing!! OPENING ON MONDAY MAY 25,2020 Dale's Barbershop Protocols -Masks are to be worn in shop, please bring one!!... -Use the alcohol based hand sanitizer upon entering. -If you are sick at all come again another day:) -Maximum of 6 people allowed in shop at one time. -We will take appointments through Google, Facebook or Instagram! We will have the ability to take your name at the door! All we ask is you follow social distancing rules. -allotted time for appropriate cleaning. -All of our shop adheres to the social distancing rules set out -Detailed plan available inside -Staff will be required to wear masks at all times -every customer will have a fresh cape -all money will be exchanged after the service at the barber chair!! we still are CASH ONLY bring your PATIENCE:) this is unchartered territory for us so we will do the best we can to make things run smoothly. **our business will still be run as a "walk-in type(but don't walk-in business?)" As social Distancing is a must. We will do our best with appointments as this is just to give some order to our day and keep everyone safe as possible.

What we know today, May 8. At this point, we are still unsure of what will be the exact protocols. We do believe, from our ongoing conversations with the go...vernment, that health inspectors will be looking for these aspects in any salon, spa, or barbershop: Personal Protective Equipments such as masks, potentially for both client and staff Surface cleaning protocols using virucidal solutions Physical distancing rules and processes Evidence of competence in knowledge around salon sanitation, disinfection, and hygiene We also understand (but this is not confirmed) that the entire industry will be allowed to open (hair, skin, nails, etc.). This has been a key ask since we started working with the province and we are hopeful this will be the final verdict. We spoke with the lead at Worksafe BC on Thursday afternoon, and she said there is no plan ready and will not be until Monday at the very soonest. We will have the opportunity to review the draft on Monday and should have more insight then. The Provincial Health Officer will have the final say in the revised Standards. Provincial Health Inspectors will oversee compliance according to the new Standards. We have a recommendation document in front of our government. This is NOT the final recommendation, only a framework for discussion. Since this document is still a work in progress, we will share it once we believe or know it resembles the final directives As we know more, we will advise on our website.

There are NO firm dates for opening as of yet. We will keep everyone up to date as soon as we know! cheers Heidi

I'm so bored! We won't be open for awhile! But, keep doing a great job with the Social Distancing! If you feel the need to cut your own hair...please use a bowl because then I'll be super busy when I get back to work *Feel free to comment on the pro's and con's of this method.
