Honouring our fallen is a tradition we uphold with great pride. On March 8, 2021, we would have been gathering in Victoria to stand side by side to honour our 2...4 fallen members. The south lawns of the BC Legislature, where our monument stands, is a place for us to respect and remember. We will be together again, when it is safe to do so. For now, we will remember together, with a virtual tribute video to be shown on that day on our social networks and https://www.bcpffa.net/bc-fallen-fire-fighter-memorial See more
Thinking of these two today and our friends from local 1253.
2020 has been a hard year for everyone. We will all get thru this together. Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Years from your Trail Firefighters.
2020 has been a challenging time for everyone but we will all make it through this together. From our family to yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
On the eleventh day of fire safety we talk to you about space heaters. Make sure if you use space heaters that you keep them three feet away from combustibles , never leave them operating when you are not in the room and make sure that they are not plugged in with extension cords and power bars. Space heaters are one of the leading causes of fire over the winter.
On the tenth day of fire safety we remind you to keep your pets safe. Many foods and Xmas items aren’t for pets.
On our ninth day of fire safety we talk about candles. Yes they look pretty for this time of year as decorations but they are one of the leading causes of fires. Try and use LED candles on your decorations this year and if you do use candles never use them on your Christmas tree or leave any candle unattended.
The Trail Firefighters Charitable Society competed our annual fundraising raffle this September. Congratulations again to our three winners and thanks again to everyone for the ongoing support. The proceeds from the raffle have been given to the BCPFF Burn Fund and the KBRH Health Foundation. Thanks again and stay safe. TFFCS
On our eighth day of fire safety we want to show you something that helps us help you. Hydrants need a clear path around them for us to work quickly to secure a water supply to fight a fire. If we have to shovel the hydrant out it slows down our time it takes to get water to our trucks. Take the time to shovel out your hydrants. You would help us help you or your neighbours.
Get your tickets and support the BCPFF Burn Fund! https://brightnights.rafflenexus.com/a/burn-fund
Help us and other emergency personal help you or someone you know. Slow down and pull over safely.
Gone but not forgotten.
2020 had been a different year for everyone. Please take the time today to remember those that served. To all that have served or are currently serving thank you.
