Train Station Inn 07.12.2020

All aboard! We watched the Polar Express this week (anyone else have this on their holiday movie watch list?) and was reminded of one of our favourite moments... of this past year : spending a night at the Train Station Inn Feeling transported back in time, this renovated train from the 1900s is one of the most unique accommodations we’ve been to in Nova Scotia.. or actually anywhere! It’s not every day you get to sleep under the stars in a train car. PS, we’ve made a blog post to help you plan your Northumberland Shore adventures in the new year. https://daveyandsky.com//northumberland-shores-4-day-itine #creatorcoastns #visitnovascotia Nova Scotia

A huge Thank You to the Tatamagouche Fire Department for saving our vintage 1919 wooden railway Caboose last night. Someone decided to take a joyride down the trail along side of our railway cars at three in the morning, hitting a tree behind the dining car and then driving about 100 feet before it burst into flames. No one was hurt but the car of course was destroyed. Our wooden railway Caboose which was adjacent to the fire only suffered minor damage with the paint blisteri...ng. Thanks to my brother Harris who heard the crash called 911. The fire was out by 4 AM and the car towed away by 5 AM. All that remains is the damage to the trail which has been tidied up. Thank you again to the fire department for the quick response and for leaving your families at home in the middle of the night to come and put out a vehicle fire that could’ve been far worse, causing a lot more damage to our Train Station Inn or others. Thank You Sincerely Jimmie and Shelley LeFresne See more

Lost and Found It was a busy day yesterday on the better trail just behind the train station. Someone has lost a CATEYE odometer for their bicycle. If you happen to be the one just drop in to the Train Station Inn and you may collect it.
