It’s easy to tell if a horse needs a blanket! If you feel behind the ears of a horse and they appear to be cold, this means that the horse itself is feeling cold.
"Your product is FANTASTIC. My horses have been gobbling it up all winter and they look amazing! My 30-year-old mare has had zero!! Respiratory issues since we have put her on this hay. Thanks for a great product!!" -Kathleen Vander Helm
Did you know that horses can run shortly after birth?
We undertook considerable research and development to perfect a product line exclusively for the international equine and domestic industry.
Herd Bales! This option delivers a 270-300 kg bale on a pallet like the 17 kg bales. Instead of 56 bales per pallet, you get 3 bales. This can replace the use of feeding round bales to multiple horses with the added benefit of being able to slow feed by leaving the straps on. Some equipment is needed to move the bales into a feeding position. No other bale racks and nets are needed.
Happy Halloween!

Fun Fact! Horses do grow a luxurious winter coat that can be several inches long. The hairs will stand up as the temperature drops so that cold air is kept farther away from the horse’s skin. When the temperature rises, the hairs flatten down allowing heat to dissipate. This means horses can get away with the I’m not fat, I’m fluffy punchline.
Our Natural Prarie Hay remains today the predominant hay that is used in the domestic livestock industry. The mixes selected are adapted to the soil and climate of their local region. This produces better yields and feed consistency than pure strands of grass or legumes. The new large source of hay will give the export market and its suppliers an economical, stable resource.

Did you know that digestion plays a big part in helping keep horses warm during the colder months? Heat is released when microbes in the gut digest food via fermentation. The process occurs in the cecum and large colon. Research shows high-fibre feeds like hay or beet pulp produce more heat than low-fibre grain, such as corn.
Our purpose is to manufacture high-quality forage horse feed that is custom designed for efficient shipping and convenient handling.
