Our textile factory in Egypt has just started a new division of garment manufacturing ... full custom cut & sew dye sublimation sportswear. Basically we can print anything, anywhere. (If you are curious check it out at: http://www.keystarapparel.com ) As exciting as that is for our clients who can make a custom order in as small of a quantity of 10 pieces,... What excites me the most about those 10 pieces ... is that 10 vulnerable girls or women can also receive 2 pairs of underwear and other essential dignity items! I am currently working on our next generation of dignity kits that we will be making, alongside the input of our focus groups of women in various communities we are running dignity projects in 2020. What you see pictured below, is a physical marker for athletic shorts we made this week for a client. I took the leftovers after the shorts had been cut out of the fabric to see how many pairs of underwear (ladies large) that could have been made simultaneously. 2 pairs! 2 pairs of underwear for every pair of shorts we make! I love that we can provide ethical garment manufacturing ... AND totally restore dignity to women!
