Work holiday parties are funded by Transit Police officers & civilian staff themselves. This year, the money they've been saving all year for social events will be donated instead. $1650 will go to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and $850 to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. Along with transit employees from across TransL...ink, they donated new toys to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, ensuring that every child gets a visit from Santa. Building personal relationships is at the heart of our community policing approach, so when A Squad realized that a kind employee at their regular coffee shop was going through a difficult time, they reached into their own pockets to help her out.
