Internally the E-Class series were kn...own as Caroliners, which stood for Cargo, Roll-on roll-off and Liner service - a truly multi-purpose vessel where cargoes such as wheeled equipment, break bulk cargoes, cargoes in bulk and of course containers could be handled.
