Transpire Project 23.01.2021

Hi again everyone, Due to the noted surge of active COVID-19 cases in Lethbridge right now, we have made the difficult decision to move the Trans Peer Support G...roup online this month. We apologize for this, we are aware that the digital delivery is not as accessible as in-person. This decision was made with the safety of participants in mind in an effort to do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We invite all those who had planned to attend to join us online! We will continue to monitor the situation in the hopes of hosting next month in-person. Hope to see you all there! Join Zoom Meeting: https://zoom.us/j/98429292736 Meeting ID: 984 2929 2736

Hello All, Currently, I am on a working committee of students and administrators to address issues within the University of Lethbridge's administrative procedur...es that endanger transgender students. One such aspect of this work is addressing any potential issues with the processes of changing a name (first or last) on a student email account and student IDs. As I have not personally undergone this process at the U of L, I lack insight to whether there are any shortcomings within the present system. If you or someone you know has had experience with these processes, positive or negative, and are comfortable with sharing your experience, I encourage you to email me at: [email protected] No names or personal information will be brought to the committee. We are only looking for data to better implement necessary changes to the existing systems to make the U of L a safer and more inclusive space for queer and trans folk.
