Trapper's Point Camp 13.01.2021

Doing some scouting for fishing since it’s getting warmer! Looks like I won’t have to travel far...Some locals are out fishing in front of camp! Must be a good spot haha! My goal is to catch some sitting on my dock, let’s see if you can guess which dock I’ll fish off of! Starting New Years Day! Going to start it off with a blast! It’s starting to get warm again after a very cold Christmas! Hope everyone enjoys the pictures around camp! Lots of snow lately!

Merry Christmas to all my family and friends! May you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Let’s hope for a better 2021 for fishing! Those walleye, pike, and lakers are very bored with nobody’s bait to steal!! As for my family we are enjoying our first year at camp during winter! Happy Holidays!

Well 2020 started out with losing a great fisherman and now it’s finishing with losing another great fisherman! Jerry Plaisted passed away a few days ago at 87, he started out winning a SCI auction to come up to the camp and from there started a yearly tradition bringing up through the years his entire family and friends! He was great with my two oldest daughters, and wanted the best for me and Rhoda he always several times a year would wish us the best. My girls remember h...im every year as the candy guy, of course but once he ripped a 20 and gave it to them and said well now you gotta be friends all the way to the bank. He was very persistent about me and Rhoda visiting him and his family in Arizona and I’m so glad I was able to go a few years back, thanks to him being so nice to us we came out, had a place to stay visited and also got to see Vegas, Hoover dam, the Grand Canyon and much more, a trip me and Rhoda won’t forget. I would say his best moment up here besides seeing his family enjoy themselves and going out in the guide boat with them was when he and his buddy Mike got 12 trout in a hour as he talked about it every trip after that year. He wasn’t much for pictures but I was able to find a couple. I never knew what a buzz bomb was until he showed me how good they are. Rest assured I will be catching a laker for Jerry next year on a buzz bomb in memory of him. He will be missed by me and Rhoda. Was just a wonderful guy and so nice and caring. Oh and he didn’t share spots to good! Lol I remember Jerry, Dorrie, and Lindy coming back from Harris with three 28 inch walleyes and they threw a bunch back...never found that spot yet Lots of memory’s! He will be greatly missed.

There’s a new king of the camp. Welcome Blake Michael Snider, he finally arrived! Healthy bouncy boy! Thank you to our family and friends who’s praying for us during the birth process-went well with no complications.

Brought the last boat from the dealer, now I have 6 lund outfitters. My last guest of the moose season just left. Still have loggers for winter. I had a logger take aerial pictures of the camp and how busy I was at the end of season! Glad I have Canadian moose hunters, road crew, and loggers to help this year while the border was closed. Also some pictures of 599! Blacktop soon from Ignace to pickle lake! So that’s great news for all my guests that drag boats up here!! Also ...some pictures of the wood I have stockpiled! Trying to stick it out for the winter at camp after the baby is born! Which should be any day now! Can’t wait! Let’s hope that border opens next year!
