You will never guess where this photo was taken ... in France! This is the dune of Pilat, in the Arcachon basin region, in New Aquitaine. The largest dune in Europe, and only 60 km from Bordeaux!

There's lots to see in Santo Domingo, its cobblestoned historic core, the café-lined Plaza de Espana and the beaches aren't too far away.
