Dengue fever is a real risk for travel even in resort enviroments. While severe infections in this article are rare, dengue typically causes flu like symptoms in returning travellers. There is no vaccine for dengue so avoiding it by using your insect repellent is the best option. We always review dengue risk with our travellers and are happy to answer any questions.
