Hummingbird Lodge is an eight-bed provincial forensic inpatient service for adult women (18 yrs+) who are subject to Disposition Orders of the Ontario Review Board (ORB). These women will have been found Unfit to Stand Trial or Not Criminally Responsible on account of their mental disorder. Thi...s unit will be Ontario’s first high intensity treatment unit for women in the forensic mental health system. Hummingbird Lodge is unique compared to similar programs across the country. Care provided is for women with significant complex trauma impacting their ability to be successful in other programs.
