One of the highlights of my time in the Annapolis Valley recently was taking a tour with the Magic Winery Bus! Fall is also the perfect time for a wine tour of the valley as the vines are full and being harvested to make the next years delicious wines. On tour we were taken to four different vineyards where we had two samples each, as well as a bite to eat at each. We had roughly an hour at every spot as well so there was time to enjoy your wine, explore the vines, sample even more and we had ample to purchase wines to take home. I highly recommend a wine tour of the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia next year when they start up again in May!

Have you ever gone apple picking? It is one of the most popular fall activities to do here in Nova Scotia. Every September and October people spend their weekends frolicking through apple orchards in the Annapolis Valley where you can find U-picks with dozens of varieties of apples for the picking. Most places let you snack on them while you pick as well which is the best. Be sure to add apple picking in Nova Scotia to your bucket list!

A couple weeks ago I visited the Meander River Farm in Ashdale, Nova Scotia just outside of Windsor. I had only learned about it when they reached out to me and it is literally the coolest place ever!! The farm is a family run property on over 186 acres. They raise pigs, chickens and turkeys, they have two gorgeous Irish Wolf Hounds, their property is covered in gorgeous flowers, including tons of sunflowers and lavender, they have a bunch of bees, and they also make their own cider and craft beer and even grow their own hops! You can stop in and grab a growler or some bottles to go or stay and enjoy a flight or a tour of the property. They are open Wednesday to Sunday and are a great place to visit while out on your fall adventures in the valley! Be sure to check them out!

Exploring Prince Edward Island from the east to west coast I recently went in search of the very best picnics and places to have them. From Chef Michael Smith's picnic at the Inn at Bay Fortune to a lobster croissant picnic in the Gardens of Hope at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company. There are many delicious picnics to be had. Here are some of the very best picnics in Prince Edward Island!
