A little over a year ago we travelled to the Netherlands. One of the things on my list was to visit a cemetery for Canadian soldiers. As I walked and carefully read each marker I was overcome with grief and sadness. These were young men and women snatched away amid the chaos of war. Leaving grief stricken parents and siblings behind. Those who did return would be forever changed as a result of witnessing unimaginable horror. Today we remember those brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to gain freedom for others. Rest In Peace @ Bergen op Zoom
