Anyone can tune in to learn about Scratch, an app designed by MIT to teach introductory coding concepts in a fun and dynamic way! These Facebook Live Q&A/ Help Sessions are intended to let participants ask questions about Scratch, as well as to demonstrate how to use some of the functions within the application. In partnership with VOCM, we are excited to announce our Student "Heritage Reporter" Challenge! Open to K-12 students in NL (2019-2020 school year). ***DEADLINE... TO SEND IN VIDEOS IS JULY 31st.*** Send us a short video (2-3 minutes) of you reporting from a heritage place in your community. Tell us why this place is special to you. Email your video to [email protected]. Some reports will be featured on VOCM Radio. Regional prizes of VOCM swag are up for grabs. And one lucky student will get to meet a VOCM reporter. We will share reports on our Facebook page. And your school could win a set of Heritage NL books for its library.
