Our energy resources belong to us to each and every Albertan. It is our duty to defend these resources, protecting them for our children and our children’s children. We must take action immediately to close the historic price gap for our resources. We must take action to clear the backlog and get our oil to market. We must fight to build new pipelines. We must take steps to upgrade and refine our products here at home.

While we wait for Rachel Notley's announcement this evening, I encourage everyone to read and reflect on her previous address. "Alberta, we are the economic engine of this country. We have built one of the greatest societies on earth, through hard work, ingenuity, and by aggressively defending our interests when those interests have been challenged. History calls on us to do so again today. And we will not back down."

I was elected by Albertans. That means fighting for pipelines, for fair value for our product, and for the services families rely on are all my responsibility. Apparently, Jason Kenney didn’t know that when he was in Ottawa for twenty years.
