Being a Real Estate Professional is more than signing contracts. For me it's all about the client(s) and having a wonderful experience with them from start to finish. The moment I received a referral (by way of a text message) I made the call to their wonderfully sweet Grandma and set a time to come by her home. I explained how the covid rules were for Realtors and we made a plan to also have her son attend the meeting. I truly am blessed to receive such great referrals! As t...he story unfolds her son did so much work to the property to get it ready for sale. Finally once the home was ready I came by and did a market refresher update for them and told them the work was so well done that we shouldn't have any issues moving forward. We sat socially distanced and I heard all about the neighbourhood, the neighbours, when they built the home and how hard they worked to keep up the property. I soaked it all in like I was being read to and I enjoyed the connection that was taking place and revelled in the moment. Another hr passed and finally I needed to go. So I gathered what I needed to complete my file and drove away. She moved into a senior home and her son and daughter in law cleaned her home and soon her pride and joy was on MLS and a for sale sign was on the lawn. I didn't feel like I was selling a home, it felt like I was selling a storybook, one that I hoped had a very happy ending. "Referring me is a piece of cake" literally One beautiful Spring day I received a referral from my past clients who had previously seen how I worked both when I listed, marketed and negotiated the sale of their home. And again when they purchased another home in a different neighbourhood in Lethbridge. Their referral is a beautiful story because it was his Grandma who was needing advice on getting her home ready to eventually list. I drove over to meet her using covid ...protocol measures and we sat for at least an hour and she told me all about when her and her husband built their home when no other homes were even built there yet and she told me how awesome all her neighbours were. I could tell she was having a hard time letting go. So I gave her all time in the world. When she was done I went through her lovely home and wrote a list for her of the things that should get done if she were to list her home. Months went by and I kept checking in as her son was working through the list getting the home ready and then I get the phone call to list her lovely home.
