Last week we held another VIOT(Virtual Initial Onsite Training),but this time it was forDEX (Distal Extremities)reps.DEX is a specialty in orthopedics that largely consists ofHand & Wrist as well as Foot & Ankle. There'sa lot of complexity in theextremities. Dex Specialists need to know the intricacies ofover 5000 productsand over 100 surgical procedures.... Typically, new reps travel to Arthrex in Florida to attend in person where they are tested on their product and procedure knowledge. It’s affectionately known as 5-day".Withtravel restrictions,Krista Joined into the Naples, Florida broadcast from the east while Sereana, Sarah, and Boyd joined from the west coast(4am start!). Tribeis proud toannouncethat BoydClassen came FIRST out of 76 participants!Sereana and Krista coming in top 10and Sarah in the top 1/3 of the class. This year with travel restrictions our group of TechnologyAssociatesgathered in a small group with plenty of space, lots of hand sanitizer, and masks when working closetogether.Two t...ribe membersout west couldn’t join the group in person so they participated from home, which was no easy task with the time change. The days were long and tiringin frontof a screen but the groupworked together toget through the testing. Out of 96 participants( 50in Naples Florida and 46 virtually across Canada and the US), PatrickMacBethfinished First at Tribe and2ndoverall! Mathieu Marcil finished 2ndat Tribe and 29thoverall.
