As you may have heard Dog Groomers have been deemed essential, for emergency purposes only. To help ensure the health, safety and welfare of animals. (Please see Ontario.ca link below) Unfortunately, due to the strict restrictions in place, we are not able to provide any regular grooming at this time. We will also not be contacting anyone on our wait list at the moment until restrictions have been lifted. The emergency cases that groomers are allowed to take in at this time i...nclude; severe matting, overgrown toe nails and extreme eye/ skin issues. If you feel as though your pet falls into this category and is in need of emergency grooming or care, please private message us with your concerns for approval and further instruction. All appointments will require curb side pick up and drop off to ensure everyone’s safety. Please understand that as much as we would love to get back to regular grooming, this is all we are permitted to offer at this time. Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation. Unfortunately not the news we were hoping for... the lockdown has now been extended until February 19th. We are still not booking any appointments until we get the official go ahead to reopen. In the mean time, I miss my furry pals and grooming so here’s some of the cute faces I had the pleasure of pampering before the shutdown. Have a new puppy?! Check this out for some greats tips! Socialization is SO important!!

Some of you have heard me say this, over and over again! A growl is very clear warning that there is someone or something making your dog uncomfortable. Lear...n to listen to your dog. If we punish the growl, we are essentially telling them to skip this (very necessary) warning, and to just go straight to a bite! We should never punish growling.. especially when it comes to dogs interacting with children. it’s just like taking the batteries out of your smoke alarm. No warning, just disaster!

We all know dogs are very curious animals. Especially when they are puppies and just like babies, they explore with their paws and mouths. Things like keeping shoes, kids toys, clothes, food etc, tucked away whenever possible, having a lid on garbage bins and using crates and baby gates are good ways to help prevent your dog or puppy from getting into trouble in the first place!

As many of you may have already heard today, we are very happy to announce that we have been permitted to open once again. This is a very exciting time yet overwhelming, as we have already received numerous calls and messages. We ask that you please be very patient with us as we process this news. I am currently contacting clients who had cancelled appointments due to the COVID- 19 closure. We will then be contacting those who are on our ongoing waiting list, IN ORDER.... This (not so) little cutie had his first professional hair cut and rocked it!! I may or may not have enjoyed some play time and snuggles with him afterwards Did you know... We offer a discount for puppy grooms until they have reached one year of age?! This is very beneficial so they can get used being groomed and everything that comes along with grooming, like the scary sounds of the clippers and hair dryer! Having them groomed regularly as pups, set them up for success and creates a dog who LOVES getting groomed, making it much easier for not only the pup but the groomer also!

It's a warm one out there today and we want to make sure everyone's pets are staying cool. It is very important we understand these signs since dogs cannot tell us when they are starting to feel too hot. *Please remember to provide cool drinking water at all times*

Did you know your smooth-coated dog can benefit from some professional pampering too? Our Bath & De-shed services involve a three step process with a specific shed-release shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioning spray. After the bathing process we use a high velocity dryer to blow out loose undercoat, and then brush and comb the rest out once the coat is dry. Finish with a high-shine leave in conditioner, ear cleaning, and nail trim & file. We suggest smooth-coated... breeds and double coats be professionally groomed AT LEAST once per season (to beat the shedding cycle and keep skin, coat, and nails healthy), but many come as often as every 4 weeks. There’s no such thing as over-bathing when being groomed at a facility with the highest quality pet-safe products. Your dog (and your couch and your hardwood floors ) will thank you! See more

And that’s a WRAP!!! We have officially contacted over 200+ wonderful people (and their pups) on our wait list and we are kissing it GOODBYE!! Such an amazing feeling to finally feel like we are getting caught up and back to making pups look and feel great again! I believe I have contacted everybody but as we have received an abundance of messages and calls for grooming inquiries, unfortunately some may have slipped through the cracks... Please message or call as soon as possible and we will get you booked in! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the continued support, it means more than you will ever know!!
