EAST REGION NEWS LCC Dcn. Brenda Ryan, a former Director of Parish Services, recently published a book, Journey through the Bible, to guide readers through th...e entire Bible in 406 days. The book began in September 2017, when Ryan first posted a week’s worth of Bible readings along with words of encouragement and points of interest for each day. God is true to His Word, and the Holy Spirit works through God’s Word, Ryan says. I knew that even if I was not face to face with people, like when I served in full-time ministry, God would draw readers’ hearts to Him, He would reveal himself, and the Holy Spirit would work faith in the hearts of the readers. UPCOMING EVENT The East District Lutheran Young Adults (EDLYA) Group is hosting an online Halloween Day Bible Study: "Living Right Side Up in an Upside Down W...orld" WHO - Young adults all across Canada are invited! WHEN - October 31st at 12:30 p.m. EST WHERE - Zoom (Register via www.edlya.ca for the link) TOPIC - "Living Right Side Up in an Upside Down World" - Looking at Jesus' Sermon on the mount. The call will begin at 12:30 p.m. EST allowing for about 30 minutes to get introduced to the event and settled in. Pastor Syens will lead a Bible study around 1 p.m. EST, which will be followed by group games. There will be a costume contest with a prize! And bonus points are awarded for biblical costumes.
