The world needs community like never before. In that spirit, we offer this series of prayers. 11 February 2021 God with us in a year of much loss, ... God with us in a year of much growth: babies born in these last twelve months have only known pandemic. For a generation of schoolchildren distant learning is already a significant chunk of their life. Each of us will carry this time like a ring in the trunk of a tree. May it be a mark of inner expansion, a built-in record of personal growth, so that in years to come we can still note this time of developing our strength and our breadth. Amen. www.corrymeela.org

We continue our prayers for community in a time of pandemic. 10 February 2021 God of the exposure that protects us,... God of the vulnerability that heals us: we give thanks for boundaries that keep us healthy and safe particularly at times of great risk. Yet we know that our bubbles present their own kind of harm. When we find ourselves cocooning in comforts and withdrawing from difference, may we free ourselves from the traps of contentment.
