Hey Adults! Want to get outside, enjoy some exercise and have some fun on horses this summer? And all this from two metres apart! If last summers adult classes are any indication, there will also be a lot of laughter and socializing.... Triple M Vaulting is once again offering adult vaulting lessons. Classes will be limited to 3 vaulters per class so that each vaulter can have their own practice barrel for the lesson. Classes will be on the following Mondays at 7 pm July 6, July 20 August 10, August 24. No experience required. Cost is $45 each (includes GST). Preregistration is required by two days in advance of each date, but the sooner you let me know the better as space is limited. Please feel free to forward this to your friends. Contact me if you wish to join an adult class. Marijean [email protected]
Horses and sunshine
We're back! We had a great first day of lessons and look forward to more!
Say hello to our new wash station, if you are coming here you will be well acquainted with this cutie! We are very excited to be one step and one day closer to welcoming students back.
Gearing up to start vaulting classes again
The arena got some work done! Leveled out and ready for when we bring vaulters and riders back
15 lunges for each leg, box with knees slightly off the ground for 10 seconds 5 times, side plank held for 5 seconds 3 times
Today's exercises: bear walk, plank held for 10 seconds 3 times, mill exercise-be sure your back is straight (use a wall, couch, bed, etc)
Wall sit for as long as possible. Superman flags, start with just each leg 10 times, then just each arm 10 times, then opposite arm and leg 10 times. Arabesque lifts to end. Start with hands above head, slowly lower hands to ground as you lift one leg behind you 15 times each leg.
Enjoying his reward after a good ride
We are going to add on to the walking hand plank today and add a side plank on the end, alternating sides each time you walk your hands out. Next we will let you sit and stretch those legs for the mill.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Today our exercises will start with some skipping. It can be with a rope or without. Next will be walking hand plank push ups. Start with your hands just in front of your feet and walk them forward until you are in a plank, then you will do a push up and walk your feet up to your hands then repeat 4 more times. Lastly, lie on your back with legs straight in the air (pointed toes) slowly lower then raise one leg at a time 5 times each.
Staring today off with a nice box, then hold your knees up slightly off the ground for 10 seconds 3 times. Second, those lunges again 10 for each leg. To finish, the bear walk up and down a hallway or across a room 3 times.
For today, we will start with 25 squat jumps. Next we move to mill and sit with our back flat and lift each leg for 5 seconds 5 times. Last today is a side plank held for 10 seconds 3 times for each side.
Today starts with a bear walk up and down a hallway. We will then do arabesque kicks, 25 for each leg. Gentle kicks up to get your leg slightly higher. Ending today is a flag, ensuring our core is engaged and our down shin fully touching the ground, also keep that hip down
Remember to warm your body up. Today we will start with lunges, be sure your front knee is over your ankle, 15 for each leg. These are great for mount and flag. Next start in prince kneel and slowly rise to stand and slowly back down to prince, 10 for each leg. Lastly today is a good old plank, try to hold for 30 seconds 5 times.
Although we may not be vaulting with horses right now, there are still many exercises you can be doing to stay in shape and ready for when we can go back to it. I will post a couple exercises everyday that you can be doing at home. Remember to warm up first, jumping jacks are great way to get the blood pumping. Today is flag focused. Lie in relaxed superman on the ground, lift one leg remembering to keep your hip touching the ground. Switch legs, repeat 4 more times with each leg. Now each arm 5 times. Let's put those together and lift opposite arm and leg x 5. Next get a box on your hands and knees and lift your knees slightly off the ground for 10 sec, try that 2 more times.
Some days are just about relaxing and enjoying
We will still be selling eggs during this time. If you need some, send Danielle a message and she will set up a time to have them waiting at the front gate for you.
Lessons may be on hold for now, but horse training will continue through this isolation time. Stay healthy and enjoy some family time.
