Thank you Susan Towne of Integrative Horsemanship for sharing how you can use anticipation to your benefit. Here the horse learns that when in the box (of 4 cones) you need to be paying close attention because that is where things change. And it makes the rider be more precise. There's so much you can do with this. Read what else she has to say and have a look. Let me know if you've tried this technique?

What's holding you back?

Amy Skinner Horsemanship sums this up really well. When you think about riding the shoulders and keeping them on your line of travel, everything gets easier. Y...es we want the horse looking where he is going, but just because he's looking doesn't mean he'll go there. We'lll be recognizing, measuring, tracking and fixing this in the 5 day Course For Your Horse Challenge #1 in March. Let me know if you'd like more info.

If you could do five, fun, 10 minute lessons, that will give you a new perspective on why your horse can't do some of those things you're asking them, would you?
