Just something to keep in mind. Cost is always something to consider, but it shouldn't be the only thing. I believe in quality of work at a fair price

As with pretty much everything in life, you get what you pay for. Your residential electrical is no different. Obviously the cost of your home Reno is crucial. Be aware that spending the least amount of money is not always the best option. You may get inexperienced trades, sub par materials, and an outright crappy job, which could cost you even more than the original job in extras. Always research the company, meet with the contractor or trades being used, and make sure the...y warranty their work! If they don't guarantee the products and workmanship they provide, why should you trust it will last? AND, be careful of the hidden costs!! What sounds like a great deal could quickly add up in extra charges in the end. Get the quote in writing. Trojan Electrical Services stands behind their products and materials, cares about how there work looks, and in the end, you have an electrical job that works at a respectable price.

LED's (Light Emitting Diode) Yes! They are all they are cracked up to be, and they are becoming the new norm. They, however, are not just as easy as switching out the old for the new. A few things to look out for when switching over to LED lighting:... Colour Tempurature - while we were able to get the old incandescent light bulbs in different colours, LED's just make the colours that much more rich, and can be harmful to your eyes. The standard house colours are 2700K or 3000K. 2700K is the equivalent to your old incandescent bulbs. You may want to go with 4000K or higher in your garage or other work areas as they produce more lumen output. Attached to this post is a cloud temp gauge for your reference. Dimming - of you are replacing your old bulbs that are currently on a dimmer, with new LED lights, remember to check to see if they are "dimmable". It will say on the package of they are. You also have to check your dimmer itself. If It is not compatible with LED lights, you will have to change it for one that is. Otherwise, you will get flickering and it will burn out your bulb/switch. Watts: make sure you are replacing your old incandescent lights with the "equivalent" wattage rating, as seen on the package, to optimize your light fixture. And as in most cases, you get what you pay for. If you need good lighting in certain rooms in your home, it's helps to get the best quality bulb for the job.
