I would like to thank @kmmart01 for opening my eyes! To often in the outfitting world we get caught up in the need to kill big deer. I am guilty no doubt, not only for marketing purposes and selling hunts but personal pride as well. This buck was a mile stone for this young hunter, his first ungulate ever. I was disappointed as we walked up to his deer on the first day of his hunt. But when we got there and i saw the pride and relief in his eyes it brought me back to my first deer and it reminded me that each and every hunter has his own personal measure of success and to Kevin, this was a huge moment for him! Thanks Kevin, congrats on your first deer and for reminding me what a quality hunting experience truly means!
