January 9, 2021 Snocross ERX Motor Park Round #2 Qualifying - 2nd Moto 1 - 2nd (Fastest Lap Time)... Moto 2- 3rd (Black Flagged) Overall- 3rd My first Moto went smooth, tripled every lap except for the first one. I ended up with the fastest lap time, these achievements set me up for an awesome second Moto. Moto 2 I made it to the first corner first and then got passed. I hung with 1st until the second last lap of the race. In the rollers I went off the track, lost some time and ended up black flagged. I was black flagged because when I returned back onto the track I did look before entering but I did not exaggerate the look over my shoulder as mentioned at riders meeting. I know the rule, I understand the importance of safety my nerves got the best of me. The penalty for this was being stopped on the track until three racers passed me. I waited & waited, the kicker was 5th place was down by a whole lap. After about 43 seconds I was instructed to go. I wish I had more time to work my way back, I ended up in 3rd. Ya it was tough to take as I was in striking distance for 1st. Lesson learned, I’m so looking forward to the next one! January 8, 2021 Snocross ERX Motor Park Season Opener Qualifying - 2nd (crashed once) Moto 1 - 3rd (crashed twice)... Moto 2 - 3rd I’m super excited to be racing! A huge thank-you to my Dad for jumping through so many hoops to be here and dedicating the next month or so to my racing. During this time we will be practicing, school homework and finishing my drivers ed. I was happy with my practice & qualifying times, however I think the nerves kicked in a bit too much come the first Moto. I don’t normally go down so much and maybe a little to cautious in the second Moto. This was my first overall podium finish in snow cross. Great way to start the year! I have so many to thank, truly grateful. Thanks to everyone who dresses me, supplies me with the best parts, bike and kit anyone could ask for. As well thanks to all that are helping us with everything behind the scenes, lodging, travel, my education and bike knowledge. Thanks to everyone around the track and on social media who follow my racing and respond with words of encouragement. This truly builds me up.
