And another 10 quilts in 10 days. "Busy Saguaro" 2013. I fell in love with the Sonoran Desert in the years we wintered in Arizona, and found the Saguaro Cactus fascinating. When this quilt is exhibited, the earthy fabric panel at the bottom is spread to form the desert floor, with rocks and chunks of saguaro "skeleton" spread on it.
The Calgary Stampede is the annual 10 days to "dress western" out here in southern Alberta. Despite the fact that 2020 arrived with an unwelcome guest, forcing the cancellation of that major, historic event, we can all still show our Stampede Spirit! Have fun and stay safe.
And I haven't sent this one in the 10 quilts in 10 days. This is Wildfire. The central image is a view from the plane above a wildfire, and the images around the border are scenes of devastation or the exhausted firefighters. Unfortunately, these are scenes that are too frequently part of our lives these days.
