Our first snowfall of 2021 .. and a very blustery ‘Winnie The Pooh’ day as well .. we’re tucked inside now, working from home, on a #renovation project in Hamilton and sourcing a new Dining Table and chairs for a repeat client who’s moving into her new home on Thursday! . .. Despite the pandemic, were still able to do a fair bit of work from home. We’re so grateful that most everyone is abiding by the guidelines of the province .. COVID numbers are down, which is very encoura...ging. . .. Our client and friend Wendy from @comfortcoguelph came to us for a bit of help with her Family Room. She’d made some great decisions already, and definitely knew what she wanted! . .. We visited our Design Centre @the_decorating_centre which boasts the largest fabric library in Canada In search of fabric inspiration. .... .. We found this fabulous pheasant fabric from @kravetcanada @juliaatkravet and this rich cognac velvet for our custom toss cushions. We then chose to reupholster this classic swivel chair in a timeless, soft multicoloured houndstooth from @duralee to complete her look! . .. What a warm, inviting and timeless space! Well it’s been one heck of a year, culminated by a Christmas unlike most of us have ever experienced. . .. ... In our families, we both have elderly parents, (Gayle’s Mum is 93 and my parents are both 88) so spending the holidays with them and with our usual extended family gatherings obviously didn’t happen. But like many of you, we’ve zoomed and face-timed and telephoned .. sent food, presents and loads of love! So far everyone has remained safe, healthy and optimistic!! ... . .. ... And, like most of you, we’re exhausted.. It’s that time when we all need to recuperate.. jammies til noon (or all day!) are good; naps are good; long walks are good; salads are good and so is chocolate; some Netflix binging is good, of course ~ that’s if there’s anything left you haven’t seen .. (we’re hooked on ACORN and the fabulous shows out of the UK, Australia and NZ!) .. take the time time to honour you! It’s so important, isn’t it? . .. ... We’ll be ready to hit the ground running in January .. and can’t wait to resume existing projects ~ we have two major renovations underway, and others to begin .. there’s never been a time when we’ve all wanted, more than anything, to love our homes: their beauty, their comfort, their functionality and their ambience!
