As part of our Alberta Relaunch, access to Alberta Parks parking lots and staging areas is restored today. A number of boat launches in parks will also be opene...d, with a list of the status of launches posted today at http://AlbertaParks.ca A number of services will be limited in our parks for the time being, as operations are brought back online and staff are recruited. Please also note a fire ban is still in place, and OHV restrictions will be phased in as the wildfire risk increases. The reservation system for select campgrounds will open May 14 for bookings effective June 1. The list of select campgrounds will be posted on the Alberta Parks website May 13. When campgrounds get their first visitors on June 1, there will be restrictions in place to ensure physical distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19. No out-of-province reservations will be accepted, group and comfort camping will not be offered, and select campgrounds will operate at 50% capacity. So get outside, enjoy the weather, and please continue to be safe by maintaining proper physical distancing.

Private and municipal campgrounds can reopen under their own authority. Vehicle access to parking lots and staging areas in parks and on public lands will begin on Monday. "I want Albertans to know that our public health officials are constantly reviewing and improving our public health guidelines to keep us safe as we begin to resume economic and personal social activities," Kenney said.
