True North Disc Golf

A few photos from the 1 day, 1 round casual disc golf tournament hosted by the Calgary Disc Golf Club and True North at awesome Park 96. Specially selected 3 disc player packs were used, drinks, dogs and perfect weather completed the day. Thanks to all who could make it for making this such a fun and relaxing event - see you next year!

Oh, guess whaaat? There was a weekend without disc, so we filled it. Chris Fenton and I will host a 3 disc challenge at Park 96 on Sept 7. How does it work exactly? 3 brands (MVP, Axiom, Streamline). 3 molds of each (below). You choose your weapons - 1 driver, 1 mid, 1 putter. Can be one brand or a mix. The fun starts at 12:30. There will be a bar and food options on site, we'll play a round of golf and leave you time to explore the park at your leisure on either end of it. S...cores will be graded using a Callaway system, so anyone can win some prizes - come one, come all! How much for three premium discs, a day of golf on Parkland's exclusive 18 hole course and a hotdog? $50. Good value if you do the math, our hotdogs aren't cheap. OMG, didnt the rain just stop? Nonetheless, I'm very much looking forward to a great day of disc in L.A.! Come out for the day, enjoy the Gunners hospitality at awesome Nicholas Sheran Park and score some savings. Fall sale details TBA!

Super excited to be a part of the Battle again this year, looking forward to seeing everyone out on the course and after! Also, for those who have noted the change of venue, I'd like to recommend that since Barrett Park is currently only a temporary - yet destination worthy - disc golf park, make sure to come enjoy it while you can. More successful events like Battle can only help add this gem to Alberta's DG resume!

66 AM players from Bridge City Gunners Spring Run-off received a Towch (as pictured) as part of their players pack. Not only useful to clip onto your belt, bag or cart as a towel/disc carry, the towch is also a great machine washable dump pouch. Pack out drippy cans, wrappers and course litter without soiling your main carry. Contact us to get yours or inquire about supplying your event. In order to encourage and reward course stewardship, True North is offering a free disc per month by random draw from your pics posted here. Post a pic packing out litter up to once per day using your Towch to help keep our parks clean. If you've not yet received our Towch - no problem! If the winning pic does not feature our Towch, then you'll receive a Towch as your prize :) No haul too small, every effort makes a difference! #Towch
