Hockey moms and dads, as we head into hockey evaluations whether it is first round, second round or the finale round, the stress you are feeling is the same stress your hockey player is feeling. They look to us for support and confidence, not for us to add to their stress or anxiety. I found that my son performs the best when he is just having fun. At the end of the day it is just a game!!! Remember stay low, keep your feet moving and have fun!!!

Good morning, By now everyone registered for the NRG/RISE/SNIPER camp should have received an email indicating your team colour and schedule. We are looking forward to an exciting week for the kids both on and off the ice. ... Just a reminder to arrive ready to be active. Runners, shorts, t shirts, water bottle and a positive attitude. Please also remember food and snacks for the day. We have some amazing group leaders for the week, however please remind players to be respectful to team leaders, seven oaks staff and the facility. This includes using the eyes and ears when moving from station to station and while using the dressing rooms. Good Day Parents, The NRG/RISE/SNIPER camp is just a few short weeks away. I would like to thank everyone who has already secured their spot in the camp. We only have 5 available spots remaining for the 2009/2010 age group and we still have room in the 2011/2012 age group. As we get closer to the camp, spots will fill up quickly don’t miss out on this experience! We are excited to announce that this year’s Head instructor will be Curtis Menzul. Curtis is an exciting addi...tion to the camp and brings a ton of experience. 2019 NRG / RISE / SNIPER Instructors Head Instructor CURTIS MENZUL Curtis spent many years playing pro hockey in the West Coast Hockey League, United Hockey League, Southern Pro Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League. Curtis was also part of the 2005/2006 Knoxville Ice Bears SPHL Championship team. In addition, he also had the opportunity to play for former Winnipeg Jets Head Coach Claude Noel. Curtis has received a number of personal awards during his pro career including; SPHL Most Valuable defenseman, Plus-Minus awards, MJHL all-star team and MJHL first team all-star. In 1999, Curtis attended the Team Canada Olympic main camp. RYAN DECH A former Edmonton Oil King, Ryan Spent 4 Years with the Oil Kings where he won a Western Hockey League Championship and played in the Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup. Ryan Currently works with NRG as strength and conditioning coach, rehab aid and specializes in concussion protocol. LINDEN MCCORISTER Linden has spent the last four years with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Linden captured a Western Hockey League Championship in 2016 and also attended the Memorial Cup. In his final year with the Wheat Kings, Linden was named an Assistant Captain. Linden will be headed to Regina this season where he will be apart the University of Regina Cougars hockey team. This year’s camp will feature a multi-sport experience. Players will be taking part in off ice sports including, baseball, soccer, yoga, touch football and boxing. Boxing focus on foot work and had eyes coordination (players will not be physical with each other and will utilize pads to improve techniques). Players will also be introduced to off-ice dryland training. Daily dryland training will consist of a speed session, agility, balance and proper warm up.
