New smile made with Zirconia and Emax!

Last week, I was lucky enough to be on hand for the presentation of a 3D printer to the exquisite, newly opened Truro Library. The printer was donated by the Nova Scotia Dental Association, and I got to see it in action courtesy of Dr. Lynn Moyles, who was placing plaques on the machine. It is truly amazing technology, and very similar to the equipment and systems used in my lab to create dental crowns and bridges. Im sure anyone who has the chance to visit the Truro Library... will be amazed not just with the technology, but with their entire facility and very knowledgeable staff. While I was there, I watched them print 3D models of an articulating hand, and found out that anyone can bring in their own project and print a three-dimensional object at a very reasonable cost. What a great place to spend some quality educational time with your family! Michael Risk, Lab Manager
