Hello Everyone, With respect to the COVOD-19 concerns, rest assured that we are following the situation closely. We are still holding the tournament, but taking extra precautions. We have hand sanitizer stations and appropriate hand soap available at the facility.... We have 36 teams attending, which could lead to upwards for 400 people - if everyone was at the barn at the same time. The NS government is recommending no more than 150 people at gatherings. Therefore, we are going to limit the number of people in the building to 150 at any one time. That allows for the teams playing, plus a few teams on either side of the matches to be in the building at anyone time. This puts the event in compliance with current recommendations. We will be also limiting the number of people at the after-party Friday night to 150. All of the teams, except one are from the Maritimes and they are driving. Very few players are flying in for this event. This is the smallest the tournament has ever been, which will help us manage the situation. We are taking precautions and NS and the Maritimes are still considered to be very low risk. This tournament is a big part of Maritime Rugby Culture and helps fund the most widely used rugby facility in the Maritimes Truro Rugby Club. We do not want to be taking unnecessary risks, but also feel we are doing everything reasonable given what we know. We are all set to go and still believe that this will be an amazing rugby event. Thank you, Truro Rugby Club
