It was a hard fought battle hear in Don Valley East and I was not elected as Trustee but a equally capable and passionate woman Trixie Doyle was. I started this journey not knowing where it was leading, but I felt the universe was directing me to go in this direction. For the past few years I have been very troubled by the youth unemployment rate and seeing our youth marginalized. I made a connection between education, this critical issue and how I maybe able to help. So I de...cided to run as TDSB Trustee. I think I brought some attention to this subject, so I'm ok with the outcome. l am thankful to all the people who challenged my assumptions, made me examine my ideas and develop a meaningful platform. I am thankful to all my supporters who encouraged me and made the journey fun for me. My super Campaign Manager (George), my e-supporters, my super team of canvassers, my neighbours, my friends and my family. I also hope I opened the door for you to run one day!
This is why I ran for School Trustee! The World Economic Forum states, that 65 percent of children entering primary school today will have jobs that do not yet exist and for which their education will fail to prepare them. #DonValleyEast #TDSB #fortheparents https://t.co/kPwrdKonNo
Excellent Article in the Star today! It's addressing both the critical skills shortage and engaging youth at the same time. #DonValleyEast https://www.thestar.com//construction-boot-camp-led-to-cov
