The days are starting to get cooler and shorter, so sadly our patio days are numbered Because of this, as well as Covid-19 capacity restrictions, the number of guests we can seat each night is going to go down significantly very shortly. We are a local business, and as some of you may know the margins in the restaurant industry are razor thin at the best of times. In order for us to be able to continue feeding our awesome city we ask that guests limit their time with us on F...ridays and Saturdays. It's important to us that you have enough time to Enjoy everything that we have to offer at Tryst, while still ensuring we are able to serve enough guests to meet those margins. Employee Spotlight - Chef Alyce! Alyce has been our sous chef here at Tryst since day one. She is an incredibly talented chef and a fabulous "kitchen Mom" to the whole team. No one ever has to worry about going hungry when she's around! We asked her a few questions so everyone can get to know her a little bit better. 1. How long have you been a chef?... 5 years trained, 9 years in total. 2. How did you come to work at Tryst? I went to my yoga class and ran into Michelle. We got talking about life and how I was just finishing my year of maternity leave and that I was going to miss being home with my daughter. One thing lead to another and Michelle asked for my resume to give to Zach, and the rest is history! 3. What is your favourite Tryst moment? Giving myself my nickname "meatball." Total accident, I misheard michelle say something about people, and I yelled what about meatball! And then it just stuck. 4. What is your favourite menu item to cook? Probably the cod! I love a good sear on meat! ;) 5. If you were a TV/movie character, who would it be?
