On September 11, 2001, The Salvation Army quickly mobilized at Ground Zero in New York to help in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Cent...re. Though 19 years have passed, we will never forget the victims of this senseless tragedy. Let us take a moment of silence to remember the lives that were lost and to honour all first-responders.

Like golf, life doesn’t always go as planned. There are times we find ourselves deep in the rough or searching in the bushes for something we may have lost. O...n the course, we may be able to take a penalty stroke and continue on little worse for wear. In life, though, getting back on course can sometimes be a lot tougher. That’s why The Salvation Army’s community-based programs are available to all, regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or faith background. We know that life can be challenging, but we are here to help. Please take a moment and watch the attached video and see how The Salvation Army is doing just that at our Edmonton Castledowns Salvation Army Community Church location.

The Salvation Army is dedicated to restoring hope in the communities we serve, and The Salvation Army Edmonton Temple on Edmonton’s South Side takes this to hea...rt in a big way. Capt. Fred and his team offer food bank services, a community kitchen for meal sharing, a weekly meal at a local school, summer camp, and so much more. Edmonton Temple is a shining example of The Salvation Army’s dedication to meeting the needs of vulnerable people, and we hope you enjoy their video of Hole #6 Edmonton Temple.

Welcome back, you've reached Hole #5 The Salvation Army Pine Lake Camp. For many young people, a summer camp opportunity may be their only chance to escape... the city and experience a life away from their urban routine. For over sixty years, The Salvation Army’s Pine Lake Camp has provided opportunities for fun, growth and new friendships for hundreds of young people every summer. Many look back on these experiences as some of the most enjoyable highlights of their summers. The Salvation Army is grateful for the support provided to the camp through the annual Golf Classics, and look forward to continuing to change young lives for years to come.

As these women take on these difficult tasks and try to find their way to a better life, please join us in helping them reach their full potential and be able to celebrate a great win!

Floods are the most frequent natural hazard in Canada. They are most often caused by heavy rainfall or rapid melting of thick snow and ice. Six inches of moving... water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away. The Salvation Army’s emergency disaster services personnel play a critical role in building safe and resilient communities.
