Over the past couple of days, our residents have participated in hanging hearts in their windows with messages for our neighbors and families. We are so happy to see new hearts being placed on the outside of our windows!

Good Morning Friends of Tsawaayuus, We have updated our policies regarding our COVID 19 precautions. We remain closed to visitors at this time. Currently, we are unable to accept any outside gifts for residents. This means we cannot receive items such as coffee, flowers, and other care packages. The COVID 19 virus can live on surfaces for a long time and we cannot guarantee the measures used in the preparation of outside items. We are having many visitors coming to see their... loved one at their windows. This is wonderful! Please note that the windows must remain closed as this virus is airborne and could be passed to your family member if the windows are open. Thank you for your understanding during this time of self-isolating. Please do continue to reach out to your relatives by calling them at 250-724-5655. You can still email letters and photos to them at [email protected]. We would love to hear about and see photos of your adventures while you self isolate.

We know how important it is to connect with friends and family. We are doing everything to ensure the health and wellness of our elders, which means closing our doors to visitors. There are still many ways to connect. You can send emails to the Activity department, [email protected] and we will share your words, photos, and videos with your loved one. You can call ( if the resident doesn’t have a personal phone number you can reach them at 250-724-5655). We do have... a skype account, please message, email or call (ask for Heather) to set up a time to visit online. Our community of seniors is in good spirits, they are thankful for the isolation as they are aware, they are most at risk. You can help us by flooding our inbox with messages of positivity and cheer and of course supporting our staff and residents by doing your part.
